Terms of Use
Last updated October 25, 2026
Please read Section 9 carefully.
It requires most disputes between you and us to be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, and waives your right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action. You may opt out within 30 days without affecting the rest of these terms; Section 9.7 explains how.
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Kea Marketing LLC (“we”, “us”), the operator of Licensed Land Surveyors. They apply when you submit any form on this site and to your use of the site generally. If you do not agree, do not use the site. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you can accept these terms for it. You must be at least 18.
2. What this site is
A directory built from the public rosters published by state licensing boards for land surveyors, such as the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. It shows which surveying firms and surveyors held a current registration or license on the date of our copy.
What it is not
- Not professional advice. Nothing here is surveying, legal, real estate or financial advice. Content is general information only.
- Not an endorsement. A listing is not a recommendation, rating or vouching for anyone's competence. We list everyone on the roster; we have not vetted them.
- Not official. We are independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any state board or agency.
3. Accuracy of listings
Our data is a periodic copy of state rosters. It can be out of date, and a license can change status between our refreshes. Before hiring any surveyor, confirm their current license status, and any disciplinary history, directly with the state board. Do not rely on this site as your only check.
4. Listings and removal
If you are a listed surveyor or act for a listed firm, you may ask us to correct or remove your listing at any time through our removal request form or our Privacy Policy. We may also add, change or remove any listing at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract listings, or use automated means to copy the directory in whole or substantial part
- Use information from this site to send unsolicited marketing to listed surveyors, or to compile a competing database
- Use it to harass, stalk, defame or otherwise harm anyone listed
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, or interfere with its operation
- Use it for any unlawful purpose
6. Intellectual property
Site design, text and original content belong to us or our licensors. The underlying license records are public records and are not claimed as ours; the compiled directory, including its organization and presentation, is ours. You may link to any page here.
7. Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its information is accurate, complete or current.
8. Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site, from reliance on any listing, or from any dealings with a surveyor you found through it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.
9. Dispute resolution and binding arbitration
This section affects your legal rights. It requires individual arbitration and waives your right to a jury trial and to take part in a class action.
9.1 Talk to us first
Before starting arbitration, you agree to tell us about the dispute in writing at info@licensedlandsurveyors.com, describing the problem and what you want, and to give us 60 days to resolve it. We agree to do the same before bringing a claim against you. Neither side may start arbitration until this period has passed.
9.2 Agreement to arbitrate
If we cannot resolve it, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the site will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section, including its interpretation and enforcement.
9.3 Where arbitration happens
The seat of arbitration is the State of Alabama. You may choose to participate by phone or video conference, or to have documents-only arbitration, at no additional cost to you. If you request an in-person hearing, you may have it in the federal judicial district where you live instead. The arbitrator will apply Alabama law, except that nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of your home state that cannot be waived by agreement.
9.4 Individual basis only: class action waiver
You and we agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims, may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding, and may award relief only to the individual party seeking it and only as needed to resolve that party's own claim.
9.5 Coordinated filings
If 20 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the help of the same law firm or coordinated group, they will be administered in staged batches of no more than 50, with one arbitrator per batch, and the parties will cooperate in good faith to resolve the rest efficiently. Limitation periods are tolled for demands awaiting their batch.
9.6 What is not covered
- Claims that qualify for small claims court, which either of us may bring there instead
- Claims seeking injunctive relief for infringement or misuse of intellectual property, which either of us may bring in court
9.7 How to opt out
You may reject this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these terms. Email info@licensedlandsurveyors.com with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out”, including your name, the email address you used, and a statement that you decline arbitration. Opting out affects nothing else in these terms. If you opt out, Section 10 governs where disputes are heard.
9.8 If part of this section fails
If the class action waiver in Section 9.4 is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, this entire Section 9 does not apply to that claim, and it will be heard in court under Section 10. The rest of Section 9 survives as to all other claims, and this section survives termination of these terms.
10. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. For any dispute not subject to arbitration under Section 9, you and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Alabama. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of any mandatory consumer protection law of the state where you live.
11. General
Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest of these terms remain in force. Entire agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the site. Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. No waiver. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. Termination. We may suspend or end your access at any time; Sections 5 through 11 survive. Notices. We may give notice by email or by posting on the site; send notices to us at info@licensedlandsurveyors.com. Relationship. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between us, or between us and any listed surveyor.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms. If we materially change Section 9, you will get a fresh 30-day window to opt out.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms: info@licensedlandsurveyors.com.
14. Survey requests
If you submit a survey request, we email you a list of licensed surveying firms near your property, taken from the state board's roster. The service is free. We don't vet, rank or guarantee any firm, we don't guarantee that anyone will respond or take on your project, and any agreement you make is between you and that surveyor; we are not a party to it.
15. Phone and text contact
Giving a phone number is optional. We call or text you only if you separately tick the consent box next to the phone field, and only about the request you submitted. Consent is never a condition of using this service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text, or email info@licensedlandsurveyors.com, to withdraw consent; we keep a record of the consent you gave and when.
