We publish a copy of state licensing boards' public rosters of land surveyors and surveying firms. We never publish home addresses. If you use a form, we use what you tell us only to answer you. Listed surveyors can ask us to remove their listing at any time.

1. Who we are

Licensed Land Surveyors is operated by Kea Marketing LLC, based in Alabama. We are an independent directory, not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any state licensing board or agency. Reach us at info@licensedlandsurveyors.com or through our contact page.

2. Directory listings

Our listings come from the rosters state licensing boards publish on their public websites. In Texas, that is the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS). We refresh our copy regularly, and every listing shows the date of the roster it came from. Our data sources page lists each file.

What we publish

  • Surveying firm offices: firm name, board registration number, office type, city, ZIP code, and the street address only when it includes a suite or unit number
  • Licensed surveyors: name, license number, the year first licensed, and the firm office the board links them to
  • An approximate location for each office, rounded to about a kilometer, used for “nearby” lists

What we deliberately do not publish

  • Home addresses, or any address for an individual surveyor
  • Street addresses without a suite or unit, since a home-based office looks the same as any other
  • Phone numbers or email addresses for surveyors, unless a firm gives them to us directly
  • License expiration dates
  • Licenses that are not current: expired, retired, revoked, or deceased

Removing or correcting a listing

If you are a listed surveyor, or act for a listed firm, you can ask us to remove or correct your listing at any time, with no reason needed. Use the removal request form or email info@licensedlandsurveyors.com. A removed listing stays removed through every later refresh. Removal from this site does not change the board's public record; only the board can do that.

3. Information you give us

When you submit a form, we collect what you type into it:

  • Contact messages: your name, email, topic and message
  • Removal requests: your name, email, the listing, an optional license number and any note you add
  • Survey requests: the survey you need, the property's city, property type, timeline, your name, email, an optional phone number and any details you add

We use this only to respond to you and to act on your request. For a survey request, that means emailing you a list of licensed firms near the property and, if you agree, contacting you about the request. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to any mailing list. We do not currently pass your request to any surveyor; if that changes, the form will say so before you submit.

Phone numbers and consent records

The phone field is optional. If you give a number and tick the consent box, we record the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, and the IP address the request came from, because the law requires us to be able to show what you consented to. If you don't tick the box, we discard the number rather than store it. Withdraw consent any time by replying STOP to a text or emailing info@licensedlandsurveyors.com.

4. Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. If website analytics are enabled, we also collect aggregate usage data, such as which pages are viewed and the general region visitors come from.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and we do not run ad networks.

5. Who we share information with

Only the service providers we need to run the site:

  • Vercel Inc.: website hosting and delivery. Processes server logs and request data.
  • Resend: delivers form submissions to our inbox and our reply to your survey request. Processes whatever you put in a form.
  • Google Sheets (Google LLC): a private spreadsheet where we keep survey requests so none go unanswered. This site has no other database.
  • Google Analytics (Google LLC): aggregate website analytics, where enabled.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety. We do not sell personal information.

6. How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Remove your directory listing, if you are a listed surveyor or firm

Email info@licensedlandsurveyors.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR; we honor these requests whether or not a particular law applies to you.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Security and breach notification

The site is served over HTTPS and we limit access to submitted information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we determine that a breach has occurred and is reasonably likely to cause substantial harm to you, we will notify you as promptly as possible and in any event within 45 days of that determination, as required by Alabama's data breach notification law. Where a breach affects more than 1,000 people, we will also notify the Alabama Attorney General and consumer reporting agencies as that law requires.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
