About Licensed Land Surveyors
Why we built this
We had a hard time finding a land surveyor, so we built an easier resource: one place to see every licensed surveying firm near you, with the license details you need to check them.
Where the listings come from
Every listing comes from the state licensing board's public roster, not from ads or self-submitted profiles. In Texas that's the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS). We show:
- The firm's board registration number on every listing
- The licensed surveyors (RPLS) at each office, with their license numbers
- The date of the roster we're showing, and a link to check it with the board
- A clear flag when an office drops off the board's roster, instead of quietly removing it
The full list of sources, and what we leave out, is on our data sources page.
What we don't do
- We don't publish home addresses. An office shows a street only when it has a suite or unit.
- We don't rate or rank surveyors. A listing isn't a recommendation.
- We aren't affiliated with any state board.
Surveyors can ask to be removed at any time, no reason needed.
Who runs it
